About Korg

Korg is a Japanese multinational manufacturer of electronic musical instruments, founded in 1962 by Tsutomu Kato and Tadashi Osanai as Keio Electronic Laboratories in Tokyo. The company is known for iconic synthesizers including the MS-20, Polysix, M1 workstation (the best-selling synthesizer of its time with 250,000 units sold), and the Triton series. Korg was a co-developer of the MIDI standard and has continuously innovated across analog, digital, and physical modeling synthesis. The company also owns Vox amplifiers and ARP Instruments, and produces the popular Volca, Electribe, and Kaoss Pad product lines.
