Back Door
Back Door are an English jazz-rock trio formed in York in the early 1970s, whose instrumental line-up centred on bass saxophone, bass guitar and drums. They developed a groove-driven, improvisation-based style that fused jazz, rock and blues textures, and their unusual focus on low-register saxophone placed them within the British jazz-rock and fusion scene while informing later approaches to small-group instrumental music.
