Mel Collins

Mel Collins is an English saxophonist and flautist who began his professional career in the late 1960s, working primarily in progressive rock, jazz and blues contexts. He moved between jazz improvisation and rock arrangements as a frequent session and touring musician within the British progressive and rock scenes, contributing jazz-inflected horn lines that bridged stylistic boundaries over several decades.
