Can

Can are a German experimental rock band formed in Cologne in 1968, associated with the krautrock movement and drawing on rock, avant-garde, electronic and world music influences. Their music combined extended improvisation, tape-editing and repetitive grooves to emphasise rhythm and texture, evolving through the 1970s to incorporate funk, ambient and electronic elements and influencing later experimental, post-punk and electronic artists.
