Post Rock

Post-Rock burst onto the scene in the early 1990s, primarily from the UK, when musicians decided traditional rock song structures were far too mainstream and opted instead for long, atmospheric instrumentals that sound like they were orchestrated by a melancholic film. It’s characterised by soaring guitar swells, minimalist arrangements, and the ability to make listeners question their life choices whilst staring wistfully out of a window. The genre often resembles a soundtrack to a film that hasn't yet been made, which is perfect for those who want deep emotions but prefer to avoid actual words.
