Electric Sound of Joy

Electric Sound of Joy are an English instrumental rock band formed in Sheffield in the mid-1990s, blending post-rock, space-rock and electronic influences. Their music combines drone-like textures, layered guitars and synthesiser-driven rhythms, evolving across releases from experimental post-rock toward more electronic and ambient approaches and situating them within the late-1990s Sheffield alternative scene.
