Farafina
Farafina are a Burkinabé musical ensemble formed in Ouagadougou in the late 1970s that perform traditional West African percussion and vocal music within the world music genre. Their style blends traditional rhythms and instruments such as the balafon and djembe with elements drawn from jazz, Latin and popular music, and they have toured internationally, contributing to the wider exposure of Burkinabé musical traditions.
