Emma Kirkby

Emma Kirkby is an English soprano who began her career in the late 1960s and specialised in early music and Baroque repertoire. She became associated with the historically informed performance movement, emphasising a light, agile vocal delivery and repertoire drawn from medieval, Renaissance and Baroque sources, and contributed to the revival and modern performance practice of early vocal music.
