Joshua is an oratorio by George Frideric Handel, composed in 1747 and first performed in 1748. The work is an English-language Baroque oratorio combining dramatic choruses, solo arias and orchestral writing, reflecting Handel's mature style and his continued focus on large-scale biblical subjects in his later career.
