The Cult

The Cult are an English rock band formed in 1983 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, emerging from the early-1980s post-punk and gothic scene. Their music evolved from moody, atmospheric post-punk and gothic rock into a more aggressive hard rock and arena-oriented sound that incorporated elements of psychedelia and alternative rock, and they became associated with both the UK post-punk/gothic movement and the international hard rock scene.
