Ace Frehley is an American rock guitarist and singer from The Bronx, New York, who began his professional career in the late 1960s and was a founding member of the hard rock band Kiss before launching a solo career in the late 1970s. His playing draws on blues‑based rock and hard‑rock techniques characterised by melodic lead lines, vibrato and the use of effects, and across his career he recorded solo albums and intermittently reunited with his former band while contributing to the visual and sonic template of arena hard rock.
