Christoph de Babalon is a German electronic musician and producer from Hamburg who emerged in the early 1990s and is associated with experimental electronic, jungle, breakcore and dark ambient music. His work combines extreme breakbeat programming, dense noise textures and long-form ambient passages, evolving from the hardcore-influenced underground of the 1990s into a sustained practice exploring the contrast between violence and atmosphere within electronic subcultures.
