Breakcore

Breakcore emerged in the 1990s, primarily from the underground scenes of the UK and Belgium, where folks realised that smashing a thousand different beats together could substitute a decent night's sleep. It's characterised by chaotic rhythms, frenetic tempo changes, and more samples than a corner shop's sweet aisle, resulting in a sound that can either invigorate or utterly confound the unsuspecting listener. Fans often describe it as the soundtrack to a hyperactive rabbit on caffeine; whether you join in the mad dance or cover your ears is entirely up to you.
