The Feeding of the 5000 is the debut album by English anarcho-punk band Crass, released in 1978. Musically it features a raw, abrasive punk sound with rapid tempos, confrontational vocals and stark, minimalist arrangements underpinning explicitly anarchist political lyrics, and it marked the group's first release that helped define the anarcho-punk movement and the DIY underground scene.
