Octavia

Effects by Roger Mayer

The Octavia is an octave-up fuzz pedal that Roger Mayer first built for Jimi Hendrix in 1967. It stacks a ringing upper octave on top of a thick fuzz, giving the searing lead tone heard on the solos of Purple Haze and Fire, and it went on to become one of the most copied effects in rock guitar.
