The OD-1 is an overdrive pedal manufactured by Boss and released in 1977. It influenced rock and blues guitar tones through the late 1970s and early 1980s; guitarists and session players used it to add warm overdrive to recordings and live performances, and it helped define the sound of pub rock, indie and pop guitar parts.
