David Cross is an English electric violinist and keyboard player who emerged in the early 1970s as part of the progressive rock scene and served as a member of King Crimson. His work combines electric violin and synthesiser textures with rock, improvisation and experimental approaches, and across his career he has moved between ensemble work, solo projects and collaborations in avant-garde, jazz and contemporary classical contexts.
