Strawberry Switchblade

Strawberry Switchblade were a Scottish pop duo formed in the early 1980s in East Kilbride, associated with twee pop, new wave and synthpop. They combined jangly guitar lines and synth textures with a colourful visual aesthetic drawn from post-punk and pop fashion, experienced a brief period of international visibility before disbanding mid-decade, and are often referenced in discussions of the 1980s indie pop scene.
