The Band
The Band are a Canadian–American rock group formed in the 1960s who blended rock, folk, country and blues into a roots-oriented sound that explored themes of Americana and rural life. They backed Bob Dylan on tour and in the studio during the mid‑1960s, released albums including Music from Big Pink and The Band, and performed a 1976 farewell concert, The Last Waltz, which was filmed by Martin Scorsese.
