Sepultura are a Brazilian metal band formed in Belo Horizonte in 1984, initially emerging from the thrash and death metal scenes. Over subsequent decades they incorporated groove, industrial and traditional Brazilian and global rhythms into their music, explored political and social themes, and moved across different metal subgenres in their stylistic evolution.
