Grandmaster Caz is an American hip hop MC and DJ from the Bronx, New York, who began performing in the mid-1970s and was a member of the Cold Crush Brothers during the formative years of the genre. His style emphasises intricate rhyme schemes, storytelling and stagecraft rooted in Bronx block-party culture, and his career traces the evolution of live MCing and lyricism as hip hop moved from local parties into recorded and commercial contexts.
