Charles Manson was an American criminal and cult leader who led the Manson Family, a quasi-commune that arose in California in the late 1960s. He was also an aspiring musician, and his music, which was largely folk and rock influenced, gained some attention due to his association with the Beach Boys and other figures in the Los Angeles music scene.
