Linton Kwesi Johnson is a Jamaican-born British dub poet and musician who began his career in London in the 1970s, combining spoken-word performance with reggae and dub rhythms. His work pairs rhythmic, politically engaged poetry with studio dub production and live performance, addressing themes of race, migration, class and policing in Britain while bridging poetic and musical traditions.
