Michael Manring

Michael Manring is an American electric bassist and solo artist who began performing in the late 1970s and released solo recordings in the 1980s, working across jazz fusion, new-age and experimental instrumental music. His work features fretless bass, extensive alternate tunings, custom instruments and looping techniques, shifting the electric bass toward a melodic and textural solo voice within contemporary instrumental and world-music contexts.
