Aion is the fifth studio album by Dead Can Dance, released in 1990. The album has a neoclassical dark wave and world-music sound that draws on medieval and Renaissance musical forms with choral textures, modal melodies, percussion and acoustic instruments, and it continues the band's move away from earlier gothic rock toward a focus on historical European and non-Western musical sources.
