The Gil Evans Orchestra Plays the Music of Jimi Hendrix is a studio album by American jazz arranger Gil Evans, released in 1974. It reworks rock material into large-scale jazz orchestral arrangements that incorporate electric guitar, synthesiser and expanded brass and woodwind sections, and it was part of Evans's 1970s move toward electric textures in his later career.
