For Alto

Album by Anthony Braxton

For Alto is a solo album by American saxophonist Anthony Braxton, released in 1969. The album consists of extended unaccompanied alto saxophone improvisations rooted in free and avant-garde jazz, employing extended techniques and serving as one of the earliest full-length solo saxophone recordings that helped broaden approaches to solo improvisation in the late 1960s and in Braxton's subsequent experimental work.
