The Day of the Robot is the third studio album by American guitarist Buckethead, released in 1996. It is an album of experimental rock, funk, ambient and electronic sounds with processed guitar textures and programmed rhythms, and it follows Buckethead's earlier guitar-focused albums and shows a turn toward more sample-based, atmospheric and groove-oriented arrangements.
