The Black Light is the second studio album by American band Calexico, released in 1998. It is a blend of indie rock and Americana with Latin and mariachi influences; trumpet, reverb-heavy guitars and sparse percussion create a desert-influenced sound, and the release followed the band's debut to establish an eclectic style the band continued to develop.
