Telling Stories is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman, released in 2000. The album continues her acoustic folk and singer-songwriter approach, blending folk, pop and roots-rock textures with emphasised acoustic guitar, sparse arrangements and socially engaged lyrics, and represents a continuation of the themes and sonic palette of her earlier work into the early 2000s.
