Movement is New Order's debut studio album, released in 1981 by Factory Records and produced by Martin Hannett at Strawberry Studios in Stockport. It documents the group's shift from Joy Division's post-punk roots towards increased use of synthesisers and drum machines, with themes of loss and transition.
