Officium Novum

Officium Novum is a studio album by Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, released in 2010. The record pairs Garbarek's high-register, sustained saxophone timbres with austere choral sonorities and early-music textures, producing spacious, contemplative arrangements that further his exploration of the meeting point between jazz improvisation and European sacred music in his later career.
