Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, BWV 582 is an organ work by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed circa 1708–1717. The piece uses a repeating bass passacaglia ostinato to generate a series of contrapuntal variations followed by a fugue, and it stands as a central example of Bach's large-scale organ writing within the Baroque repertoire.
