Johann Kaspar Kerll (1627–1693) was a German Baroque composer and keyboard virtuoso born in Bavaria who spent his career serving in various courts and churches across the Holy Roman Empire during the 17th century. His surviving output—keyboard toccatas and suites alongside masses and motets—blends Italianate virtuosity and ornamentation with German contrapuntal technique, reflecting south German organ traditions and the stylistic currents linking Italian, Austrian and German sacred music of the period.
