Die Zauberflöte is an opera in two acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, first performed in Vienna in 1791. Blending elements of the German singspiel with rich orchestral and chamber textures, its music alternates lyrical arias, ensembles and spoken dialogue and reflects Masonic-influenced themes, representing one of Mozart's final operatic works that showcases his mature melodic and dramatic style.
