The Flowers of Romance is Public Image Ltd’s third studio album, released in 1981 on Virgin, characterised by an austere, percussion-led post-punk and experimental approach with minimal bass and extensive use of tape and found sound. Made after Jah Wobble’s departure, it centres on contributions from John Lydon, Keith Levene and drummer Martin Atkins.
