Civilized Evil is a studio album by French jazz fusion violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, released in 1980. It is built around electric violin and synthesiser textures within a jazz fusion framework, has funk-influenced rhythms and complex instrumental arrangements, and follows a series of fusion records from the late 1970s into the early 1980s in Ponty's career.
