Rites is a studio album by Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, released in 1998. The album blends Garbarek's Nordic-influenced jazz saxophone with elements of European folk, ambient textures and choral sonorities, employing synthesised atmospheres, spacious percussion and orchestral touches as part of his ongoing exploration of the intersection between jazz and world/ambient music.
