Radio Free Europe

This release is the debut single by American rock band R.E.M., originally released in 1981. Musically it established the band's early jangle-pop and college rock sound, characterised by chiming, arpeggiated guitars, driving rhythms and idiosyncratic, half-spoken vocal delivery, and marked the group's emergence on the United States college radio and independent music scene.
