Band of Gypsys 2 is a posthumous compilation album by American rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix, released in 1986. The recordings continue Hendrix's exploration of electric blues, psychedelic rock and hard rock, comprising live and studio performances from the late 1960s and early 1970s that illuminate the transitional phase after the Jimi Hendrix Experience as he pursued new band formats and musical directions.
