Wake of the Flood is Grateful Dead’s 1973 studio album, the first released on their independent Grateful Dead Records and their first studio set since 1970, as well as the first without founding member Ron “Pigpen” McKernan. It explores folk-rock and country-rock with pronounced jazz influences in its arrangements and instrumentation.
