The Technology of Tears (and Other Music for Dance and Theatre) is a studio album by English guitarist and composer Fred Frith, released in 1988. It comprises electroacoustic and experimental pieces written for dance and theatre, using tape manipulation, field recordings and instrumental textures that reflect Frith's move from improvised rock contexts into composed, theatrical soundscapes.
