Ballad of Easy Rider is The Byrds’ eighth studio album, released in 1969 by Columbia Records and produced by Terry Melcher, recorded by the line-up of Roger McGuinn, Clarence White, Gene Parsons and John York. It pursues a folk rock and country rock direction with bluegrass elements, and its title was inspired by the film Easy Rider.
