Route One is an album by Sigur Rós comprising generative ambient and post-rock soundscapes created for their 24-hour slow-TV drive around Iceland’s Ring Road (Route 1) on the summer solstice in 2016. The release presents real-time processed audio built from the band’s own material, with themes of travel and the Icelandic environment.
