Metropolis, Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory is the fifth studio album by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released in 1999. Musically it is a progressive metal concept album that combines multi-part compositions, shifting time signatures, melodic guitar and keyboard passages and orchestral textures, and it led the band to pursue long-form narrative songwriting on later releases.
