Synthwave
Synthwave, which emerged in the late 2000s, is basically what happens when retro-futurism collides with an 80s sci-fi film soundtrack, and yes, that does mean lots of synths. Itβs a delightful melange of nostalgia-inducing beats and neon-drenched aesthetics that sounds like a roller disco party on the Death Star. Some say itβs a reassuring reminder that we can always rewind to a time when hair was bigger and computers were infinitely less capable but far more charming.
