Electronic Rock

Electronic rock emerged in the late 1960s and 1970s when musicians realised they could combine guitars with synths rather than just holding a tax on the volume knob like most rockers. It typically features catchy melodies, pulsating beats, and the persistent sense that someone in the room might be overheating from all the flashing lights. The genre has since given us dance anthems and melancholic ballads alike, proving that you can both groove and brood without ever needing a decent pair of shoes.
