Butch Vig

Butch Vig is an American musician and record producer from Madison, Wisconsin, who began his career in the late 1970s and is primarily associated with alternative rock and rock music. His production approach mixes polished studio techniques with layered guitars, dynamic contrasts and electronic elements, and he later formed and fronted an alternative rock band in the early 1990s, bringing his production sensibilities into a performing context.
