Crossover Thrash

Crossover Thrash emerged in the mid-1980s, primarily in the United States, when punk rockers decided that perhaps speed metal could do with a bit more attitude and general chaos. It sounds like a high-speed, no-holds-barred mash-up of thrash metal and hardcore punk, where riffs come in like a freight train and lyrics often dwell on societal angst, occasionally peppered with a dash of cheeky humour.
