Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band are an American rock band formed in the Detroit metropolitan area in the early 1970s to support singer-songwriter Bob Seger's live and studio projects, associated with heartland rock, roots rock and classic rock. Their music blends driving rockers, piano-led ballads and saxophone-inflected arrangements with narrative lyrics focused on Midwestern working-class life and American small-town experience, evolving from R&B and garage-rock roots into a mainstream album-oriented rock sound through the 1970s and 1980s.
